Mid-Eastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association

The National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) promotes and encourages the art and craft of model railroading through education, development of standards and recommended practices, advocacy, and social interaction.  There are ~16,500 NMRA members worldwide. 

The Mid-Eastern Region (MER), the sponsor of this website, is one of 19 Regions within the NMRA.  The MER includes Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia, plus parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and North and South Carolina.  There are ~1,500 members in the MER. MER activities include at least one convention each year normally in the Fall.

As described elsewhere on this website, currently there are 10 active Divisions within the MER.  Each Division has its own program of meetings, tours, social activities, and educational activities.
